INSIDE Johnny Depp’s French Estate Near St. Tropez

Johnny Depp, a renowned American actor and musician, leads a lush lifestyle and loves to invest heavily in real estate and vehicles. Today, we’ll visit his French village home located just 17 miles from St Tropez. We’ll tell you about the actor’s real estate portfolio, hobbies, and lifestyle peculiarities. After watching this video, you’ll discover another side of the real person behind the masks of Captain Jack Sparrow, Willy Wonka, and Sweeny Todd. As a bonus, we’ll have a brief tour around his former Los Angeles penthouse.

Depp’s Property Portfolio

Unlike Keanu Reeves, who owns a single home in the heart of Hollywood Hills, Johnny Depp boasts a jaw-dropping estate portfolio. He has owned fourteen houses worth 75 million dollars in total, excluding the cost of employing the workers and managing the property. Thus, the star has a decent choice of residences to visit when he wants to escape from his hectic schedule.

Over the years, the Hollywood star has purchased several quirky properties, including his penthouses in downtown Los Angeles, a 45-acre private Bahamas island, and a Kentucky horse farm. Depp bought this farm twice, the second time as a present for his mother, Betty Sue Depp, who passed away in 2016. It was his mother who encouraged his love for music by giving him a guitar when Johnny was 12 years old. Then, he started playing in various bands, so the Kentucky farm seemed a great gesture to express his gratitude to his late mom.

Before 2016, Johnny Depp and his former wife, American actress Amber Heard, lived in one of the five penthouses in an Art Deco building in Los Angeles. Their friends and family occupied the others. After Depp and Heard divorced, the actor put his penthouse on the market. We’ll take a brief tour around the eclectic interiors of one of his penthouses later.

The ex-couple married on the private three-island atoll, Little Halls Pond Cay, in the Bahamas in 2015. Depp purchased 45 acres for 5.35 million dollars. It’s situated in Exuma Land and Sea Park, the first protected reserve in the world. He spotted the atoll while filming the Pirates of the Caribbean.

The island is still in the actor’s possession. It offers pure, white sandy beaches, palm trees, and the lush solar-powered residence for the star. He named the beaches after his children.

Johnny Depp is also a lucky owner of five neighboring homes in the Hollywood Hills. He reportedly paid around 19 million dollars for them. Now, the star spends much of the time in his house in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles.
