Owning a villa in Tuscany has been Rachael Ray’s goal since she was a young child. Well, thankfully, that dream finally came true. This labor of love, which is the complete restoration of a centuries-old stable without heat, electricity, water, or plumbing, is not anyone’s conception of a classic Italian home. But not for Rachael. The entire area was in dire need of a complete structural makeover and cosmetic renovation because the enormous building had been abandoned for a long time. From that standpoint, the time was ticking, and very fast. Rachel had to work, and couldn’t make it up: running a renovation and recording a show. But the brilliant idea of combining two in one was an absolute success.
